Visitors

All visitors are welcome at the Orford Golf Club, regardless of skill level or experience – you don’t need to be a member of another Club or have a handicap.

We do ask that you comply with all signage and directions from our staff and volunteers and adhere to our Dress Code and the social rules below.

We have a number of push buggies available for visitors to borrow. We also have a small number of motorised carts and sets of clubs for hire. Advanced notice is essential for booking these - our club is mostly unmanned and we rely on the availability of our volunteers to meet you at the Club.

We will do our best, but we cannot guarantee availability.

By playing on the course, you accept your liability for any damage or injury caused. The Club does carry Green Fee player public liability insurance but in order to claim it is essential we have your details, so if an incident occurs, please complete the Incident Report Form.

Social Rounds

Social golfers are welcome to play outside of competition times.

There is no need to book unless you are a large group or would like to hire a cart or clubs. The course is closed on Thursdays until 12:30 pm and Saturdays until about 2:00 pm for our regular competitions. Please check Events and Competitions to see other course closures.

The following rules apply

  • You must play off the yellow markers

  • A playing group must not be any more than 4 people

  • Groups of two or more players have precedence on the course over individual players

  • Players completing a round have the right of way over those about to begin, i.e. a group which has played 9 holes and is going on to play the next 9 must have precedence over those about to begin a round.

  • Players can play a maximum of 2 practice balls around the course.

  • Use the practice green for chipping and putting practice – not one of the course greens.

  • Online at www.greenfees.com.au

  • In the Clubrooms when open

  • By cash or credit card (by scanning the QR code) at the  payment station near the practice green.
